- Artist Statement The human body is always fascinating to me. It is not about beauty. Each and every body is of interest. Not just in structure and form but in that mystery of difference between the inner being and the outer body as viewed by the other. Usually I draw from the life model. Various drawing tools and methods are explored, with the aim of emphasizing that it is a language of marks that must be decoded by the eye and brain of the viewer. This too is a mystery. How can marks on paper equate with the complexity of the human body? It is a fruitless but addictive challenge.
